Sclerotherapy
Sclerotherapy is a non-surgical procedure performed by an RN/MD that involves injecting a solution into blood vessels or lymph vessels that cause them to shrink.
This in-office treatment is used mainly for small varicose or spider veins.

The solution injected irritates the targeted vessel, causing it to swell, stick together and seal shut, stopping the blood flow. The swelling cuts off the flow of blood or lymphatic fluid, and the vessel shrinks and fades within a few weeks.
Varicose or spider veins can be:
• itchy-aching
• burning
• swelling
• night cramps
• heavy or tired feeling
Spider veins usually respond to the treatment in 3-6 weeks. If the treatment is successful, the veins will disappear and not reform.
